Go beyond the norm. Take a deep dive into a selection of our most amazing vehicles and exhibits. Founder Mike Markin will show and tell how these incredible “Marvels in Automotive Design” came to be, their uniqueness, their influence, and fun stories surrounding them.
Topics run 30-45 minutes. There will be time left to explore the museum
Cost: $12 – Preregistration is required. Registration is limited to 16 participants. A minimum 10 particiants are required for the event.

Art Deco Cars – If it were possible to capture an era in a single object, the classic cars of the 1930s would make a valiant attempt. At no other time in our history has car design been so greatly influenced by the fashion of the day. And what a fashion! Art Deco style is probably one of the most recognizable trends of the last century. We will delve into a selection of American born cars of major influence in this era.
Champions and Their Making – Follow the creation, the build, and the arduous journey to the making of a world champion show car. We will discuss and illustrate the 6-year building of our 2-time Grand Champion – 1938 Graham Custom – The Shark. We will also examine what it takes to win in the rigorous competition process of the International Show Car Association.
Early Sports Cars – WWII significantly influenced the development of the American sports car. Returning soldiers were eager to experience the speed and thrill of imported sports cars. This, coupled with the G.I. Bill, created a vibrant middle class with discretionary income to pursue these new interests. We will delve into a selection of the early American Sports cars, including the car featured on the cover of the first issue of Motor Trend magazine.
